How can I see all the sights of Dublin in one go?

Making the Most of Dublin Tours and Attractions

The quickest way to get an idea of what Dublin has to offer is by taking a bus tour of the city. A bus tour will take you to all the key sights in Dublin, including the Dublin Zoo and Trinity College, where the Book of Kells is housed. A bus tour allows you to stop off at any attractions you might want including the Guinness Storehouse, and then re-join the tour when you choose.

In the evening, take a ride on Dublin's ghostbus. This tour is an attraction in itself with a storyteller on board who takes you to the College of Physicians and attempts to spook you with tales of spirits who still walk the corridors today.

If you prefer to do your sightseeing on foot, make sure you plan ahead and map out what sights you want to see. These might include Dublin Castle, The National Library (where James Joyce once loitered in the domed reading room), St Patrick's Cathedral (where visitors can view the Tomb of the Great Saint), and The Old Jameson Whisky Distillery.

A unique aspect of Dublin tours and attractions is the possibility of tracing the footsteps of literary greats, such as Patrick Kavanagh, Flan O'Brien and of course James Joyce. This can be done by taking a tour of the many bars, particularly on Grafton Street. Davy Byrne's Lounge is actually visited in James Joyce's novel, Ulysses.
